Provo Canyon Half (13.1 Miles) 02:04:28, Place in age division: 2 | | Beautiful weather and wonderful canyon made this race execptional. Felt great as I cut 10 min from my last years time. Lots of runners. 2200. Curt had timing chips this year. He did a good job, with lots of fruit and pancakes at the end and even a band. I had my e-7 and minerals before the race. Love it.
| | Up the canyon trail. recovery miles from Provo River Half, so it was pretty slow. |
| | On the Mountain with Mel. Very fun. |
| | Went from the lake up the trail to water fountain by Timp park . Sasha passed us going up and coming down. Man, he runs fast! Josse and her friend passed us on our way back. They were going fast and looking good also. Very cool weather. So 20.5 today in 3:58 and 1/2 mile yesterday that I counted today. 3200 cal. Mel went from the mouth of the canyon down to the lake. So he is doing very well coming back from a knee replacement. | |

SPANISH FORK HALF (13.1 Miles) 02:10:30, Place in age division: 2
I love this half. It is a good marker of what you will do at St. Geroge. I was wishing that Josse would have ran it and won again. There are lots of fun raffle prizes. I won $ 25.00 to Red Lobster. Yum. It is well run and does't cost alot. Not as much downhill as Hobble Creek, but still fun and a challenge. Felt good the whole race, but had to stop at a potty station. Oh well. The lady that won my age group was about 2 min. ahead of me. Oh, they had chips this year, also.

| | Today I did a mountain run. Fantastic! Here is what I have to say about it. We went up to Sun Dance. It's like DANCING thru the trees. Pranching, splashing, ( thru the river) thrashing ( in the bushes), crashing, weeping, seeping blood (and getting dirt in your mouth). Running, funning, sunning, cunning,( getting past the chair lift guy and onto the bike path). Leaping,( and dreaming). The smell of pine. How devine, so VERY fine. Watch your footing and your tooting. Mountain running. Funning. | |

St George (26.2 Miles) 04:15:16, Place in age division: 5 | | Wow! What a day. Beautiful weather and conditions. I started with the 4:15 group and lost them when I had to hit bushes. But, felt good the whole way and was pleased with the result. Took 20 min. off of last years time. Ran with a guy named Mong for a while. A beautiful runner. ( meaning his form) Such ease and grace. Took energy gel this time, but did weight trainning and stayed off sugar (mostly) in my trainning for the marathon. Great , fun time. So glad that Josse had a good race.
